Magna Kitchens (Pty) Ltd is open and Covid-19 ready for essential work to clients

During this time of uncertainty, we all harbor concerns for the safety and well-being of our families, co-workers, partners, customers and all others affiliated and connected with us here at Magna Kitchens.

We feel deeply for those, and all, who are affected by the outbreak of the Coronavirus in South Africa and around the world.

We would like to assure our customers that we have implemented plans and measures to be able to deliver our services, while safeguarding the health of our employees and our customers.

Magna Kitchens have put into place the following measures…


SOCIAL DISTANCING

Our active staff are working separately where possible to mitigate the risk of an entire team becoming infect. Employees who has to be on-site are applying social distancing and hygiene protocols based on guidance from the health authorities. In addition, we track and log movement and contact.


SAFETY ON-SITE

Where on-site work is required, our staff endeavours to accomplish the task at hand in the minimum amount of time so that time spent in locations can be minimized. Additionally, team schedules have been implemented to reduce the number of people in a single location and to separate individuals in common teams as much as possible. Teams are supplied with the necessary PPE for the protection of others, in addition to clear disinfection protocols.


ACCESS

Site access is restricted to operational personnel who follow strict hygiene protocols.


OUR SUPPLIERS

We have a number of strategic suppliers, whom we are in contact with continually to ensure they apply comparable mitigation practices with their own teams, while still maintaining service levels.


OUR GUIDANCE TO EMPLOYEES

Notable actions include, but are not limited to:

  • Asking all employees to maintain distance as much as possible, and wherever possible while our essential services remain open.
  • Initiation split-team options and select staff segregation for business-critical roles and/or functions
  • Restricting virtually all employee travel. Exceptions will be determined by management in consultation with our customers, and in accordance with government regulations.
  • Extending our mandate to conduct only business-critical travel, which, as always, is subject to local regulatory guidance and restrictions.

We realize that these are uncertain times and we are fully committed to ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees. This is our top priority in order to maintain the business continuity needed to provide the support and service to our customers.
